Remember my lovely blog with over 400 blogs posts, interviews, press snippets and more? Well as you may have realised, they have all gone. I took down the blog temporarily and made a back up of the entire website. I then moved web hosts and went to pop the blog back up and I realised that the blog back up, had failed, these things happen so I tried again and then I saw that it hadn’t just failed but the whole back up had corrupted. I had checked it previously and it had been working but not this time. For my clients (I am a web developer), I back up multiple times, check them repeatedly and keep a staging site ready just in case a website back up fails and rarely have any issues, but of course for my own website, I only backed up once, and paid the price. So here we are, starting from scratch again after losing years of content. More below…
But it also means I can start writing about new stuff too! I am seeing this as a positive (trying!) but to say I have been a tad frustrated is an understatement 😉 We’ll soon have loads of blog posts back, especially after UK Games Expo 2022, which at the time of writing is only 2 weeks away! So raise your glasses to the new, if empty, blog!
